Hey everyone, with the help of one of our sponsors, we’re going to be hosting a drive to help the local animal shelters. Our local animal shelters are overwhelmed with dogs, but don’t have enough cages to store them all. We want to help solve this problem and give back to the community that has helped us so much.
As a result, we’re going to be hosting a drive for dog supplies. One of the primary needs is for dog crates. The dog shelters have told us that they need metal dog crates, both small and large, that are easy to clean and easy to move. We know that this drive is a bit different than the usual drives for dog food or dog toys, but this is such an important cause that we really are passionate about.
If you don’t know what to look for in a dog crate, you can check out these best dog crate reviews. We’ve already purchased several of their more popular dog crates, like the Midwest Life Stages and Midwest iCrate dog crates. The dog shelters have been thrilled with these, as they are highly rated and dogs love them. The shelters also have said that plastic crates are acceptable, as they are good to use outside and for portability.
Remember, these cages are going towards an important cause. If the shelters cannot house all of the dogs, then the dogs are euthanized. This is a tragedy and one that we want to prevent.
Obviously the best way that you can help is by adopting a dog at your local shelter. But we realize this is a huge commitment for some people. You’re going to likely have the dog for 13+ years. So if you don’t want to make that kind of commitment, no hard feelings. Simply donate a dog crate instead. If you cannot afford a dog crate, we are taking donations of any size. Please drop them off at your local dog shelter. Dog shelters often get good discounts from pet stores when they make purchases.
If we all band together we can make a huge difference in the lives of many, many dogs.
